Bridgetown, Barbados - 1 July 2025 In order to assist Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has given DESMI RO-CLEAN A/S a sizable marine equipment supply contract for the "Supply and Delivery of 10 Sargassum Workboats" Enhancing regional capacity to manage the increasing environmental challenge of sargassum seaweed accumulation that impacts coastal communities and the blue economy is the goal of the USD 2,556,500 contract.Overview of the Contract Title of Project: Provision and Delivery of Ten Sargassum Workboats United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the contracting authority.
